Mythological Might on the Bang Engine

Built on the upgraded Bang Engine, Age of Mythology: Retold features completely remodeled 3D assets, ray-traced water reflections, dynamic destruction physics, and redesigned unit animations that make every Minotaur headbutt and Manticore volley feel truly epic.

Crucially, god powers have been completely redesigned. In the 2002 original, god powers like Meteor and Lightning Storm were one-time uses. In Retold, god powers run on recharge timers and can be recast throughout a match using Favor, revolutionizing late-game skirmishes.

  • God Powers on Cooldowns: Re-invoke legendary cataclysms multiple times in a match using accumulated divine Favor.
  • Intuitive Controller Radial UI: Automated villager resource allocation and smart military group triggers tailored for gamepads.
  • Epic 50-Mission Campaign: Fully voiced campaign following Arkantos across Greece, Egypt, and the Norse frozen fjords.
