Arkane Studios' Dishonored 2 is widely celebrated as having some of the finest environmental level design in video game history. When originally released on eighth-gen consoles, the game was capped at 30 FPS. Thanks to Microsoft's backward-compatibility FPS Boost technology on Xbox Series X, Karnaca can finally be experienced in blistering 60 FPS glory.

Karnaca: The Jewel of the South in Fluid 60 FPS

Sun-drenched coastal streets, blowing dust storms in the Batista mining district, and silvergraph technology define Karnaca. At 60 frames per second, the responsive tactile feedback of blinking across rooftops, sliding under guard swords, and executing non-lethal drop takedowns feels instantaneous.

Playing as either Royal Protector Corvo Attano or Empress Emily Kaldwin offers two drastically different supernatural toolsets that reward player ingenuity and environmental observation.

  • The Clockwork Mansion: Jindosh's architectural wonder featuring mechanical walls that slide, shift, and fold with the pull of brass floor levers.
  • A Crack in the Slab: Wield a mystical timepiece to seamlessly peek into and step between the past and ruined present in real-time.
  • Dual Protagonist Sandbox: Corvo's classic Blink and Possession versus Emily's Far Reach, Domino, and Shadow Walk.

Level Design Royalty: The Clockwork Mansion and Timepiece

Missions like 'The Clockwork Mansion' and 'A Crack in the Slab' are taught in game design curriculums worldwide. Navigating the temporal rift using the timepiece glass without any loading screens remains a technical tour de force.
