The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered became available on September 29. CD Projekt Red describes it as a free upgrade for eligible owners on supported platforms, including Xbox Series X|S. The release brings visual and gameplay improvements while keeping Geralt’s main adventure and its two major expansions together.

How eligible Xbox owners can download it
On Xbox Series X|S, sign into the account that owns the qualifying game and check My games & apps for an update. Players can also open the game’s Store listing and check for an update or the current Series version. The entitlement is associated with eligible ownership on the supported platform, so confirm the account and edition before buying a separate copy. Store availability and the exact update flow can vary by region.
Both major expansions are included
The remastered release includes Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, in addition to the base adventure. That makes it a complete entry point for players who have not yet followed Geralt through the full story, while returning players can revisit the expansions with the updated presentation.
What the update changes
CD Projekt Red describes upgrades to visuals and gameplay. The announcement does not make every feature identical across platforms, so players should consult the platform-specific listing for technical details and available settings. Allow for a large download and check the Store page if the update is not immediately visible.
