Two online games are set to disappear from Xbox players’ calendars this fall. Rocket Racing is scheduled to leave Fortnite in October, while the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Call of Duty: Warzone will become unplayable when Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 begins.

Rocket Racing Is Leaving Fortnite in October
Pure Xbox lists October 1, 2026 as the date Rocket Racing goes offline. Epic’s support page confirms that Rocket Racing will be removed from Fortnite during October, though its notice does not specify a day. After removal, the mode will no longer be available to play.
The change also affects Fortnite islands made with Rocket Racing templates: Epic says those islands will be removed too. Players’ customized cars in the Vehicle Locker are not being deleted and can still be used in Fortnite. This shutdown applies to Rocket Racing, not the rest of Fortnite or the separate Rocket League.

Warzone on Xbox One Ends With Modern Warfare 4 Season 1
Activision has confirmed that Warzone will stop being playable on Xbox One and PS4 when Season 1 of Modern Warfare 4 begins. The new game launches October 23, with Season 1 planned shortly afterward. Pure Xbox reports late October or early November as the expected window, but the exact Season 1 start date has not been announced.
This is a last-generation platform change, not the end of Warzone on every Xbox console. Xbox One and PS4 owners who already have the game can continue playing through the end of Black Ops 7 Season 6. New downloads on those platforms stopped in June, and the in-game store was removed later that month.
What Happens to Warzone Progress?
Activision says eligible progression and purchased content can carry over when players use the same linked Activision account on a supported current-generation console or PC. If you play on Xbox One, check that your account is linked and plan to move to a supported platform before Season 1 begins.
